“We over here at The Swag Section have been working very hard to bring you all of the best local, and global, content as possible; from the hottest in music right now, to the latest and greatest in the world of fashion. With this goal in mind, The Swag Section has teamed up with the guys at Maknation, a local culture and media organization currently based out of our hometown of Gainesville, Fl.

Maknation was founded about a year ago with a similar goal as The Swag Section’s in mind: to bring fresh ideas and ripe content to the youth around us. So far, they’ve had an impressive response with a competition known as “Mak Models”, in which individuals are chosen to represent their universities based on their style, demeanor, and other Mak characteristics. Three contestants are chosen from each school, and they are then voted on by their peers to advance to a Finalist stage, where only one model goes on to represent their University. In the end One (1) model will be chosen (female-only at this point) to become the reigning Mak Model, and enjoy all of the privileges therein. The competition has been focused at Florida Universities so far, but a broader scope is already in the works.”
